I dont know about you, but that little 120mm fan next to the processor doesnt seem really important any more. Lol.

Eh. It looks like a ripoff of any number of the other ugly front-fan-heavy cases.

Give me another PC-75.

Yeah, I have to say... Lian li really crapped the bed on this one. I understand wanting to cash in on the "bling", but they've always made classy, subdued cases that looked AND cooled well. This is just... ugly and overkill.

Not to mention that having the fans on the front portion and having to open the door to use a rom/burner, Then you loose the cooling with the door open. Whats the use in having fans placed there and the door opened? No intake air like that from the front.

I think your system can stand not being cooled for the 10 seconds it takes to put in / remove a CD.

I know it must be the trend but --

It's pretty sad to see Lian Li and Silverstone stuffing cases with LED fans. I could expect that say on the CM-690.

But hoped not to on these. The new LL A06B looks really slim and slick (only 6 inches wide), but has a crappy blue LED. The new Silverstone cases (even though they're the "cheap" bracket) come with big blue LED features as well.

It may be tasteful to some extent, but seems they're overdoing it now.

I remember loving LED fans, when I got a case 6 years ago. Until I couldn't sleep at night cause it would distract me (Had 4 cathode tubes and 6 CCFL Fans), sure, I was smart enough to wire it to a switch on my fan controller, but I think I turned it on twice after the first month or so of ownership.

They're still making their other cases, they're just branching out into other markets. It's not like they're going to lose sales...

The case looks nice and functional... but what does it bring to the market that hasn't been sold before? This looks like it has just about the same features as any old ATX case. There seems to be no separating factor here. It might be very well made, but for $400 it better hold a radiator or two, have some fancy sound proofing, include a water cooling kit, or SOMETHING. This case seems to be priced high solely for the name placed on it.

Maybe I am missing something here, but it just doesn't look like it'd be worth half the asking price. Please enlighten me as to what makes this case worth the price of 4 P180's?

Urghh! I hate this case! This got to be Lian Li worst case. Couldn't care less if it cool well.

Wow... all this anger just because Lian Li decided to offer some bling?? :p

C'mon, I like the quality of Lian Li, but have YET to use one for my own rig. This being because they are just TOO plain for my preference.

Personally, I LIKE this case. I've been thinking of buying one for my upcoming rig (or maybe the cheaper P60). It is very similar to the Antec 900 that I just bought, EXCEPT that with door mounted fans, I don't have to tear out the front fans to make room for 5.25" drives (like with the Antec).

Sure the drives will block some of the airflow, and it'll lose frontal induction when the door is open, but it's still better than removing the fans completely from a similar case, right?

That said... $400 is a bit, well... PHEW!!

It has a lot of suddle features, it's really big.

That front panel is all aluminum and mesh, it's not plastic. Nothing is plastic on a Lian-Li, EXCEPT the fans... and occasionally the power/reset buttons... and a few other suddle pieces... for the most part they're amazingly machined, and I won't buy anything besides a Lian-Li from now on... You honestly have to build one and appreciate it up close, I've only built 3 A05's and I'm convinced... :p

wow.. looks.. uhm.. large.. pretty cool design.. I like the location of the second set of WC tube holes.. and the fact that you can easily move the front fans for cleaning the grills behind them.. but what's up with the massive cowl induction hood scoop?? ;)

lol... too funny! yeah.. I thought that comment would get someone's car nostalgia engine cranked over. ;) I used to be into cars... fun, but it's so less expenisve and less dangerous OCing my PC rather than my car. :)

I dont think it looks bad at all. It solves some problems with having all those fans up front that other cases dont... you can have your bay devices, an optical or two, and a hdd, and still have three fans providing airflow.

The downside? Heck, My PC-V2000 with three extra 120mm blowholes in the top is more noise than I can stand. The fans are quiet compared to the 'woosh' I get when two or more of the fans come online. This thing cant be the quietest thing around.

Thanks for the link. Excellent review.

Now I really want one! :p

(c'mon I must have $400 in one of these pockets... ??)

I don't know if I like it or hate it, It would probably look good with a nice WC loop in it, but maybe not.

I love Lian-Li for the superb quality and professionalism put into the cases. The "bling" everyone is talking about is tacky imo :D.

Why does the PC-P80 look more like a Koolance brand model than some of Koolance's own Lian-Li cases? If it didn't have Quasimoto sitting up top it wouldn't be as bad.

The airflow design is retarded. Why do they have a 120mm fan exhausting just a couple cm infront of the front intake? The air is just going to get blown around without reaching the mobo area and thus not actually doing anything. Also the stupid box thing on top looks hella restrictive for airflow. I guess they did that to mitigate the negative effect of an exhaust so close to the intake. Also, with 3 120s intaking and only one exhausting (I'm ignoring the special-Olympics top exhaust), where is all the air going to blow out the case from?

If you had 2 optical drives and a fan controller or Xi-Fi front panel, the top fan would be blowing into solid objects?? You have to open the door to see the pwr/HDD led? meh!

I still like the case. Yeah, the top-hat is kinda weird, but it's removable.

I like the fans on the door frame. It's new, it's innovative. I'm tired of cases that come with front fans, that have to be removed if you want more than 2 drives. And the door frame houses a full-length mesh filter, which pulls out from the top for cleaning. That's just awesome.

My only gripe is the price. OUCH!

Does the case have flaws? Yes. Will the case please everyone? No.
So unless you can show me the "perfect case", that will please everyone, and has no design flaws... well, quit yer' bitchin'!! :D
