I'm of the same mind. I'd love a bigger panel than my current 24" primary, but it has to be x1440 or more. I'd lose precious vertical space on my desktop, and I think overall I'd be less effective with one ultrawide panel.

The most jarring thing is the width to height ratio. While it says 29", it actually feels smaller than a 24" monitor height wise because of the 21:9 ratio. What you point out though is the exact reason why I love 1440p monitors. I had a 2560x1600 and it sucked losing that 160px, but it was more noticable losing the 120px going from 1920x1200 to 1080p on the side pc.
