Lenovo T420 backlit keyboards?

I've got a pair of Lenovo T420's here, both my wife and I came from other laptops with backlit keyboards. I did some searching and didn't see anything. Are there any options for backlit keyboards on the T420's? Besides that, no issues to report, we love them.
 
I don't think they started to offer backlit keyboards until the T430's.
My work uses pretty much only thinkpads for our helpdesk 3rd level team
we have a mix of T420, T430 and T440s
I personally have a T430s with a backlit keyboard. a co-worker has a T420 with no backlight. Just the above keyboard light.

One thing is for sure these things are close to bulletproof!
 
Forget the backlight and enjoy the superior keyboard.

While I do enjoy a nice red backlit keyboard and had to have a Maxkeyboard with doubleshot keycaps (I don't care for laser etched and especially not painted keycaps). They are handy on a laptop when working in certain environments especially for those Fn keys, but not critical. I would much prefer non island style keys, and then I don't have to look down at the keyboard to type. I found my favorite keyboard has PBT keycaps and silenced topre switches. I would take that non backlit keyboard any day even over my maxkeyboard, which is still very good.
