Guys, I have a Lenovo IX that's been sitting around since forever. I'd like to replace the drives and use it as a low energy backup NAS. Any idea what the max supported drives are on these things?

It's old, it's crappy, but surely for this low demand use, it'd be ok?

This says 4 drives and can do 3TB per drive

I hope I got the model right...

Ix2. I'm sorry for not being specific. I found a similar page that says 2 drives(correct) and 3 tb max. Ugh. Was hoping maybe support was added for bigger drives. Probably not worth messing with, if not.

AFAIK, if the drive can do 3TB max per drive, then it probably can do upwards of 3TB (since MBR's max was 2TB).

The larger capacity drives just probably weren't around at that time.

Any big drive you have on hand you could use to test?

Largest I have not in use is 2tb. Not useful. When I do my next round of upgrades, I'll try one.
