Hello, I have a 24" HP LP2465 that gets really hot, especially in the top right part at the back. I noticed that even the actual screen gets pretty hot. Is this normal? My room temp is around 86 degrees Fahrenheit.

thanks!

Monitors do tend to run a little hot as the size increases.

Perhaps you do not have adequate ventilation in your room. My 26" NEC and Planar monitors do get warm, but I would not say excessively hot. Check to see if there are any dust that is blocking the exhaust vents.

Also, brightness levels tend to affect heat because the higher the brightness the more heat the CCFL backlight (cold compact florescent lamps) tend to produce.
