Latest Round of Updates Killed Custom Visual Styles

So I'm pretty much dumbfounded right now over this. I'm not quite sure with update did it but when Windows Update ran on Tues and I rebooted, it killed the custom visual styles I had. Now I can only use the default stuff. I've patched, repatched, restored the originals and patched again the following files:

uxtheme.dll
shsvcs.dll
themeui.dll

Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced the same thing and if there is any idea from the experts around here.

Btw, I forgot to add...Vista Business x64

Not me personally, but it sure would be interesting to find out if yours is an isolated case or there will be more people making such reports. Heading over to Neowin to do some research over there because they have a huge skinning community and would be a likely source for more info.
 
Well that was quick, I meant I was going over there to do research but but but...
 
pure guesstimation, but i would think maybe they updated something to kill the "run aero on vista basic" hack, and thus killed custom styles as a side effect..
