Laptop recommendations...

Can someone recommend a good, reliable laptop model (or brand) in the $300-400 range? Looking a particular one that is not problematic with posts/reports everywhere on the internet. It's for my daughter taking it to college. She also playing some moderate games. I know with that price, it's not going to be a gaming laptop.

I bought this for my wife, she's starting her MBA, and slapped a M4 SSD in it. Also runs D3 well on "low". I like Asus, I hear Toshiba also makes decent laptops.

It's also $80 cheaper than it was two weeks ago when I bought it...

That looks about as good as anything you're going to find new in that price range. 15.6" and an A6 wouldn't be too bad, and like Dayaks said you'd be able to play most new games on Low at least.

You could also check out the Dell and Lenovo Outlets for refurbs if you are interested at all in that.

Dell outlet for refurbed latitudes for college students for the build quality/warranty. Otherwise try to find an acer with an A6 processor.
