A friend of the family is asking for a laptop recommendation. She is coming from a Macbook and wants Windows now. All my laptops tend to be Dell or Thinkpads so that's my usual recommendation, but business class laptops are over her budget unless I go used. I'm not object to doing that if I can still get a warranty of some kind.
I know nothing about consumer (cheaper) laptops that might be in her price range except that they usually have more crapware loaded and stuff. Can I get a decent recommendation on something relatively modern with an SSD? 13" or so screen. No other requirements really, but I want it reliable of course.
Edit: None of that 1366x768 junk. If she's coming from a Macbook, the screen should at least be decent.
