I just recently got my hands on the Asus G751jt with a 970m, 4710hq, and a 1080p IPS display that I discovered does 100Hz!
Though when I run games (so far only tested CS:GO & MGSV) and enable v-sync they run at 60fps.
Now I also have had this problem with my QX2710 PLS monitor. The remedy there was to install a monitor driver in the device manager, so that the monitor in the NVIDIA control panel doesn't read 'Generic PnP Monitor', it then read 'QX2710'.
I've tried to find a driver for this monitor but couldn't find one on the ASUS website.
In the Device Manager under Monitors it reads 'Generic PnP Monitor', but in the NVIDIA control panel, it reads 'Laptop Display'. I tried to install an ASUS ROG monitor driver, when I did that the model of the display was shown under Monitors in the Device Manager, but it still read 'Laptop Display' in NVIDIA control panel.
I think the answer lies there somewhere but I've come up short.
Please help!
