Ok so I have a gateway 7210gx notebook with the ALI WDM Audio Accelerator.

Here is the problem. The audio drivers are preinstalled with windows xp.

1. I play a sound and the headphones work perfectly.

2. I pull the headphones from the jack and no sound.

3. I pull the speakers form the laptop and make an adapter to plug into the pins and they work perfectly.

4. I put them back into the laptop and hit random keys during the post and sound comes fromt he speakers and not the motherboard.

5. The master volume in windows does absolutly nothing. but the wave bar does all the audio.

Gateway doesnt provide me with any drivers.
