Laptop for protools

I'm not a big fan of laptops so instead of taking a stab in the dark at hoping one I pick is quality and not a junker I will ask you guys. My dad needs a laptop that can run protools well. Budget is between $800-$1000 maybe a little over if it's worth it. Size doesn't matter, just need a high quality laptop that will run it well.
 
Mac Book Pro, but it's quite a bit over your budget.

Also it's just going to be used with Protools LE with an Elevenrack. Mostly just concerned with getting one that isn't going to be a junker.
