Good news everyone!

LANified! will be bringing back our popular weekly broadcasts with improvements too!

Our schedule will be the following:

Wednesday 7pm - 10pm (MST, GMT -7): Starcraft 2 King of the Hill:
We will be running a King of the Hill event where entrants face off in a 1v1 format, and the winner stays in to face the next challenger. Challengers pick the map for the match. To enter just jump in channel LANified! in game, we use ladder maps and most competitively used maps.

Thursday 7pm - 10pm (MST, GMT -7): Team Fortress 2 KotH^2 3v3:
This is our own home-brewed format of TF2, in which teams of 3 face off on KotH maps in a KotH style, and the winning team stays in to face the next challenging team! Full rules available at: http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=203 . To enter jump on irc.gamesurge.net / #LANified!, or go to our http://www.lanified.com/networks page to use our built in IRC client. We will also be upping the ante for stronger teams. Stronger teams can move to a qualified status and during our qualified weeks we will pitch only our qualified teams against each other for fiercer competition! How this will work is for the first 3 weeks of September we will be running Qualifying weeks for our TF2, and the fourth week will be a Qualified week. Each Qualifying week we will move up to 2 of the best performing teams for that week (based on performance) to qualified status. After September we will alternate each week, one week being a Qualifying week the other being a Qualified week. Teams can move out of Qualified status for a variety of reasons, such as under performing, or roster changes, so keep your nose clean! All teams that want to Qualify must register their roster at: http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=204

We also will be bringing you a a monthly Heroes of Newerth event! Our HoN Dual Round-Robin event will consist of 12 teams, broken up into 2 groups of 6. Each group of 6 will face off in a round-robin series (5 games) against the other members of the group. The top team of each group will face off in a Best of 3 series at the end of the month which will be broadcasted Live with commentary! Each match will be organized by Galvia, and to register your team head to http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=205 . Each team will need to complete 5 games in 3 weeks, so make sure your team is set before you register please. Broadcasting schedule for finals is not yet finalized and will be announced at a later date.

All of these events will be broadcasted live (HoN will only have the finals broadcasted). To watch our broadcasts LIVE head to http://www.lanified.com/networks . We will also be including an IRC client on that page to chat in our IRC channel, and a calendar for our broadcasting schedule and other events!

There is additional news for our coming LAN party too! Once again, S2 games is stepping up to the plate sponsoring our lovely event. As such our prizing for Heroes of Newerth will be 1st $400 + 7500gc/2nd $100 + 3500gc/3rd 1500gc (in game gold coins). We would like to remind you going forward our HoN tournament is 5v5. If you are curious about Heroes of Newerth the game is now Free to Play and you can make a free account at: http://heroesofnewerth.com/ref.php?r=0N2J6RB8 and jump in the game right away!

Also we are still looking for an additional commentator for our broadcasts and events. We need someone local to Calgary Alberta Canada, who can attend our events and come to our production facilities under their own power. You need to be at least 18 years of age (some exceptions may be made), and we give preference to those with competitive experience with any of our tournaments, tf2/sc2/hon, preferably as many of those games as possible.

Finally we would like to remind you that we have another spectacular LAN party event coming up in November, to sign up and prepay please head to: http://www.lanified.com/events/details/7

We really hope you enjoy all the things we are putting on, because we do all this for YOU!

Hey folks,

We have another update for our monthly Heroes of Newerth event, S2 is helping us out on this one and they have allocated gold coins for our cause! As such the prizing will be 1st 2000gc/2nd 1000gc (gold coins)! That's a lot of coins! As such we are looking for more teams, so get your group together and head to our registration thread: http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=205 . The deadline for registration will be this Saturday September 24th 2011 Midnight. The tournament allows a maximum of 12 teams entered, so hurry up and claim your spot, while you still can!

For those who are unfamiliar with how this will work we will allow a maximum of 12 teams, which will be broken up into 2 groups of 6. Each group of 6 will play a round-robin series. The top performing team from each group will move onto finals which will be a Best of 3 (bo3) series performed in one night, and broadcasted LIVE! with our lovely commentators handling all the action. The dates of that broadcast will be announced later in the month. To watch any of our broadcasts head to http://www.lanified.com/networks , we have 2 weekly events going on, so check them out too!

Wow, there sure is a lot going on. Not only did we see one of our fiercest ever matches during our TF2 KotH last night between qualified teams trashcan and AliasPro but we have many great things to announce too!

First and foremost, TRENDnet is sponsoring our event! TRENDnet makes all kinds of networking and IT equipment from personal devices all the way up to corporate networking infrastructure equipment! We are really excited to bring them on board, and they are helping us with our coming event. Thanks TRENDnet!

Second, we want to announce the first of our Casual Challenges for this event. From now until our event (closing time to be announced later) we are holding yet another flash game challenge. The person with the highest score for the flash game Red ( http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=342 ) will earn themselves a TRENDnet TEW-687GA ( http://www.trendnet.com/products/proddetail.asp?prod=225_TEW-687GA&cat=159 )! To enter a score you must take a screenshot of your entry score and post it in the forum thread. Please crop any entrant screenshots to only show the game. More Casual Challenges are to come.

Third, early-bird prepay ends tonight. To take advantage of the early-bird pricing you need to prepay before tonight (Friday) midnight MST. We also want to remind those who have (and will) prepaid to pledge for tournaments if you haven't already.

Fourth, for those who are missing it, we are still running our weekly gaming events! Wednesday is our Starcraft 2 1v1 King of the Hill event. Thursday is our Team Fortress 3v3 King of the Hill^2 event. All of these are broadcasted too, live! To watch, check the schedule, or hop on our irc head to http://www.lanified.com/networks and check it out! Next week will be our first qualified week for our Team Fortress 2 3v3 King of the Hill^2, so we should see incredibly fierce matches!

Finally, if you haven't had the pleasure of checking out our latest poster design, and you want to pass it around the office or school we have it right here! They are designed for 11"x17" landscape, but they work just nicely on 8.5"x11" landscape too.

Hope to see you at the LAN! :D

Well it's now about 2 weeks away from our event and there's plenty of things still going on.

First, our location has changed. Our coming event will now be situated on the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) campus in the Crandell building, rooms G138 and G140. Also the event is now Saturday and Sunday (Nov 5&6), starting at 10am on Saturday going till 6pm Sunday. The tournament schedule is being re-worked to these new dates and will be announced at a later date. With our new location the capacity has been adjusted to 60 people and our prizing has changed to reflect such. Unfortunately we can no longer offer a concession on-site, sorry folks. With the new location we will also be having an on-site security guard between 8pm Saturday and 8am Sunday, the security guard will also be checking any bags or equipment between Saturday Midnight and Sunday 8AM if you leave, this is to comply with our security policy and we will still be allowing entry of equipment but barring departure of equipment during these hours. This is for your security.

Second, as the event is 2 weeks away our prepay ends tomorrow (Friday) midnight! If you are coming out we recommend you prepay so that we can guarantee you a seat at our event. It's also cheaper. When you prepay don't forget to pledge for the tournament you want so even more prize money can be unlocked!

To sign up/prepay and for full event details head to: http://www.lanified.com/events/details/7

Third, we will now have prizing for our weekly events.

For Starcraft 2 we will be awarding $5 CAD for when a person gets 3 straight wins, this adds up too. So if you get 6 wins it's $10, and if you get 9 wins it's $15! This prizing will be for every single Starcraft 2 KotH week from here on out.

For Team Fortress 2 we will be awarding $15 CAD to the top performing team during a qualified week. Remember, only qualified teams can participate during our qualified weeks.

All prizing will be awarded via paypal, so make sure that you have your paypal account straightened out before you enter any of our events. Prizing will be distributed by BloodyIron and it is the responsibility of those who have won to keep contact with BloodyIron. If you have issues and need to contact BloodyIron outside of our events you can reach him at bloodyiron at shaw dot ca. It is the responsibility of entrants to keep track of their performance.

We hope you enjoy what we are putting on for you here, and if you have any questions, concerns or feedback we would appreciate you to voice it in our forums at http://www.lanified.com/forums .

To watch our events during the week or at our event just head to http://www.lanified.com/networks , we have an irc client built into the page as well as a calendar for our events!

Holy crap the LAN party is tomorrow!

Well, for those who are new to the SAIT campus, check out this map for which building we are going to be in. Just go in the doors right beside the bank, then keep going straight until you get into a hall, and you'll see us ahead on the right side.

Every Wednesday 7pm - 10pm: Starcraft 2 King of the Hill:
Two players enter, one remains, the king. Winning contestants stay in to face a constant stream of challengers, to maintain their supremacy and crown. But if you lose, you're out for the week. For every 3 consecutive wins you get $5, so that's $5:3/$10:6/$15:9, etc. This is open to players of all skill levels!

Every Thursday 7pm - 10pm: Team Fortress 2 KotH^2:
We run alternating weeks between qualified and qualifying weeks. Only teams who get qualified can play during the qualified weeks, but they are fierce competition, excellent to spectate. During the qualifying weeks however anyone can enter! During the qualified weeks, there is a $15 prize on the line, the winning team for each qualified week gets $15! If you want to practice your 3v3 game for our LANs, or try and get a team qualified for that sweet cash, then the qualifying week is for you. If you want to watch some fierce competition, then check out our broadcasts during our qualified week too. Rules and format: http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=203 Registered teams (you need to register your team if you want to qualify): http://www.lanified.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=204
