Feast your eyes on the Terzo Millenio. An electric vehicle concept built by a collaboration between the Lamborghini and MIT. The group aims to innovate supercapacitor technology that can match the energy density of conventional batteries while keeping the power density of the supercapacitor. Plans are to use carbon nanomaterial technology, which can help not only in weight reduction, but also in "health-monitoring" of the car's carbon structure, detecting any cracks and other damages on the vehicle. You can check out the press release over here.

Lastly, Lamborghini wants a vehicle like the Terzo Millennio to sound like a Lamborghini. That won't be easy, since there's no V12 or V10 to be found. Frankly, the company doesn't even sound like they've figured out how to solve that particular puzzle, stating that "[a] deep investigation is needed" to determine what it should sound like. That's no easy task, and we suspect the engineers will be busy on that one.

Imagine the cost of a fenderbender if the car panels are made out of "battery".

At least they made a design change or two this time.

Me thinks futuristic just went up a notch, still on 4 fucking wheels though. Where's my flying space car?

Shouldn't that be relatively simple? Some speakers, an amplifier, a DSP with the appropriate inputs (speed, acceleration, etc), and some firmware

That's cheating. Just use a baseball card or something.

Maybe they can get away with the horn sound? Anyone who's old enough to remember the Cannonball Run movies knows the Lambo sounds :D

Hmn, almost looks reversed, like the front should be the back. It has no nose.

I don't get the design. What's the point of the big rear end, when it's got no engine there.
