What's your current loadout of these hex chips? How many do you have for other people?

Depending on what jebo wants to do, they are all spoken for. That is 9 more hex cores for the [H]orde!!

I will be testing an L5640 when it arrives next week in my ASROCK X58 EXTREME. According to this thread, it is compatible. (Thanks TurkFX)

If that is true my finger may slip again if the are still around after I get paid next month.

That be crazy..... one dual rig and a single all with hex cores....

So [H]ard.

It is fun...that is what I have running now, plus a dual quad rig that will be dual hex this weekend, plus an I7 920 (I know, I have a problem... :).) If I can aquire some parts, I'll run Tobit's chips for the rest of this month as well...I think I just need a stick of DDR3 to do it....

They are definately faster than X5550s in this board. I'll give them a few more frames on ths 2684 before I give a final verdict.

What did you have your 5550's oc'd too?

They were in the Asus, so they were stock speed @ 2.933.

Only 2 left! Ahh, why did I have to be broke now? If I would have waited I could have gotten hexes for a bit more than I got my quads for

but then I wouldn't have had the first SR2 on [H], o well

I'm seeing 6 cpus available!

anyone on the fence go for it now!

This is good for ~45.000 points, total system cost about $700 if you buy used. The system is extremely efficient, so this is worth the investment.

If you are running i7 920/930, you can sell your existing cpu for a good amount locally on kijiji for example... your upgrade only costs you $200!

Okay, so to those who are in Canada.

I messaged the seller and he said they ship UPS Expedited which means no brokerage fee. Shipping is $20. So a hex for $350-400 is still a killer deal.

Nice, 404. Which motherboard?
I don't have the cpus yet, that's based on what i7 hex do.

wow, no fair he said $30 to me at first with no talk about expedited.
Yes, we can ship to Canada via UPS for $30

Thanks
Dave

Ah, so reminiscent of 3 years ago when I got my first Q6600 and posted a pic of it. My friend doctored this version a little bit...couldn't find the original. :D

Damn you all.

I just placed a bid on one of these. If I win it, I'll let you know if it works in my DFI board.
