Korean 1440p IPS monitors - $200 or less [REFURBS]

Monitor tech is really in flux right now overall. So many new pieces to the tech. Honestly if you need a new monitor now these are decent for what they are. I was seriously considering the nice BenQ 4K monitor, but after a lot of thought I think I am going to add 1-2 of these to my current NEC 3090.

For gaming, I'd keep an eye out for monitors using the new AUO 144HZ AHVA panel!

Sarcasm?

See the issue is you're comparing a $300~ monitor to one that will be double that price. Not to mention something that isn't really on the market at the moment.

Those are probably going to be more than double if you take into effect the TN paneled ASUS ROG swift that hit the market at $800

Yeah I'm going to be holding onto my 24'' 144hz TN panel for probably another 4-6 years with prices like these hitting. 27'' 1440p and 144hz IPS panel needs to be ~$300. I'm out of the market for a longggg time.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to calibrate these, since the OSD is basically useless/disabled? I can't see text boxes against a white background and it's driving me crazy. The grey outline of all input boxes are just invisible.

yea it's a bummer, gonna have to adjust it w/ software from your vid card. Luckily i have a colorimeter to take care of that :D

any clue what the actual difference is between the POTALION 2720QWG and the POTALION 2710QWG ?

The ebay listings show different response times and brightness, but I'm skeptical of the specs in the listings.

Just ordered the qnix xq2710 from ebay. I ordered it on Friday last week, later in the day. It shipped yesterday at 4am and is supposed to be delivered today. They used UPS expedited shipping service from Korea. Impressive shipping speed. I ordered from accessorieswhole (nice name). I'll post OC and pixel results here when I get it.

It is a nice monitor, but the inputs hold me back. All you have it seems like is dual-link DVI on that one.

What's wrong with that? I've never had more than one device hooked to a monitor in my home setting. Unless you were thinking console use, but there are better monitors for that situation that cost less.

I got one of these, the Topsync 27, the other day after seeing this post. Mine looks brand new. Not a mark on it. However it DID have a screw rolling around inside. Took the front bezel off and removed the screw, put it back together and all is well.
I love my new screen.

The DVI versions are the only ones that OC past 100hz reliably. I believe the "True10" or HDMI ones will only OC to around 94hz. With the DVI only models you can get them up to 120hz and higher.

I replaced the stock dvi cable with a different and longer on and I can run 110hz without any artifacts. Great purchase!

Unboxed today and I am completely happy with my qnix. No dead pixels and I really looked hard for them. Color looks better than my asus 1080p 144hz. OC'd to 96 right out of the box. Had a little funkiness at 108 with a section to the left side of the screen, at default clocks. 120 with default timings had vertical green bars, so no-go. I'll keep playing with timings to see if I can get 120 out of it. Using the thick ~3' dual link that came with my asus, so I think it's not the cable.

Packed really well too. Box inside another, perfectly fitting.

Funny it says "made in china" everywhere.
