I can understand them refusing to cooperate for references, recommendations and the like but how can they take you to court for putting your experience at the company on your resume? Wouldn't that be illegal?

It's hard to paint a picture any uglier than I already have about konami, and most other japanese companies in gaming for that matter. As far as workplace treatment goes Japan is a feudal cesspool.
