Those Crawlers look like they'd be good for a nightmare or two

I don't know if that was in-game or pre-rendered or what, but the graphics look pretty dated... :(

Yeah, it's almost like a PS2 --> PS4 generational leap here in graphic quality.

Either way I don't care as long as the gameplay is intact, KF1 was ridiculously fun.
 
I can't wait. May not be the purtiest UE3 game, but it's a huge step forward if you've put 300+ hours into KF1 in the last year alone lol.


Looks like the FP will finally be blocking/immune to damage when he runs. Going to be very interesting to see how sprinting enemies change the game play.
 
It is UE3, but it is heavily upgraded. Lighting has seen lots of upgrading. Going by the posts in the TWI forums. Honestly it looks good aside from the characters which look "UE3 plasticy".

Doesn't mean anything. That's like saying compare Doom to Quake. Sure there's a huge jump, but they still both look dated as hell.

I'll still play it, it just makes me sad when games are barely in development and they already look old...mostly has to do with developers still being stuck on UE3.

Even if it is dated it is still oneo f the best wave bassed zombie games i have ever played. I love this game. I cant wait for KF2

I hope this game gets released somewhere this year, I really enjoyed the first game and have spent more than 1000 hours on it. I hope they bring back all the zeds from the first game.

and splinter cell blacklist's engine is based off of ue2 as well. the game is ugly because it's old, not because of the engine.

as for this game; holy fuck am i excited.

This cant come soon enough, that video is looking pretty good so far. I dont care that its not the best looking game out there as long as the game play is fun like the first one was.
 
Haven't been paying much attention to this, but after watching the specimen video it brought a rush of feelings from playing the original game, and now I can't wait to play this game. Is there an estimate on when it releases?
 
Yes indeed, there is the new in-engine specimen video! It is linked from killingfloor2.com as well as the Steam store news item. Looking nice so far! As I said before, I'm really hoping for a wide expansion of the play dynamic (ie missions, more abilities/weapons etc.. ) so while the in-engine videos are cool, I can't want to see more.

Those of you who may subscribe to the (US version,in print) of PC Gamer magazine, July Issue (or UK version, July issue?), it is said to come with a special code for a KF2 skin, and I'm interested in getting my hands on one. Its the ones with "Civilization: Beyond Earth" as the cover-story, for the US version anyway. I can't wait for this game, I loved the first one and this one looks awesome and sick, and more gore and blood is always welcomed.
 
Next Week this is coming out think I'll try it for the hype alone not sure if I'll like it...
 
Really hoping they have Linux Dedicated server support sorted out before then.
 
Today Baby hope it's good I haven't tried the Beta so going to wait around for a couple initial reviews.
They seemed to have put in alot of work.
 
I'm going to wait for some reviews before plucking down 29.99 the first one the graphics were already dated when I bought KF1 for 5.00 or whatever.......
 
I've been waiting for this one... wish I could have gotten one of those PC Gamer codes from last year (anyone have an extra? hehe)

Though I have to admit the price seems quite a bit too high for what may very well be a new-engine remake of the game. I hope that campaign mode is expanded considerably for instance etc. Also, it would be nice if they'd give a discount for those who own KF1 and any DLC owned at least.
 
It's ok I wouldn't buy it though again...... Graphics are better then Next Gen I couldn't get into a game for some reason so I just did the solo think 6 players max.
 
If your worried about lack of content and value then why not just wait until it's released? I think it's stupid to have EA so far from completion, about six months is what they were quoted on.
 
I can't even run this game at 4k on ultra with 2 290s, and at 1440p I'm getting over 50fps but not 60. Pretty ridiculous.
 
Some times shadows, reflections, ect. scale with resolution killing performance, could be the case here.
 
Bought it yesterday. Runs great on High with a GTX750 (non IT) at 1080p.

So far... love it, can't wait for the additional content.

This game is great in it's own way..... Got to the Nazi Boss Zombie like twice both times wiped out our entire team usually I'm the first to go. What I find unique about sprinting in the game you can sprint backwards holding the shift key and side to side. I tired all three maps not sure if there are more. At first I thought the graphics were kinda sub par but the city map is pretty nice !! I wish you could walk though other players like in Left for Dead 2.
I got sandwiched in this tunnel with two of those Tank bosses that take a while to get down I had two of them on me as I was trying to get away.
 
This game suffers at 2160p on Ultra on my setup, I wasn't expecting a huge framerate, and I'm getting 25 FPS average on max settings on my GTX 970. Was kind of hoping to get more because UE3 is an old engine.

Had to put it on high settings to get a decent framerate, around 40-60 FPS will do for now.

I found it's the UE4 feature of Real-time Reflections that's probably taking the biggest hit. Pretty much any setting you have without it turned on instantly drops 30% performance alone. The power of the future in one Engine feature alone lol. Also SLI isn't yet supported (future driver?) so two cards wont help you without some tweaking that may or may not work from what I hear.

Looks damn good for a mostly UE3 based game though. Still meant for those with patience or hardcore fans because of the content. Just hope they do updates fast and furiously. Think they are intentionally holding content to maintain a 6 month hype, but this gameplay isn't Payday 2.

Nope, that's going around the block since the Beta. Mostly lag from what I hear since they said netcode was one of the things that held it back for a little while. Some of it might be the game itself because the bosses smoke brings out the CSGO style lag.
