keycap replacements

I have a ducky keyboard and although the mecanical switches are great the keycaps on them are painted garbage. The paint wears off and the tops look blah. Also not impressed with the quality of the keyboard as several leds have gone out (not in a line but random places) but that is another issue. I have been looking for replacements for a while but they cost some $35, which.... is a little high. Finally found this for $19. They feel good and I am pretty happy with them. Doubleshot, so no paint to wear away.

I like my Ducky One, but agree that the ABS keycaps are kinda meh. I replaced mine with a cool double shot PBT set. Looks and feels a lot better.

The red AWSD keycaps are from a Tai Ho rubber keycap set.

Those are certainly inexpensive.. I'm not a big fan of ABS key caps personally or that keycap font but whatever. ABS keycaps are prone to shine whether double shot or not.. but for the price those should an ok value... if u like the font.

I got these on massdrop serveral years ago (vortex PBT double shots) for my filco .. Filco has the most **** keycaps stock which is sad because otherwise the board is top rate. These PBT keycaps are 3~yrs old and basically show no wear despite fairly heavy use.

Is it just me or can you tell when keycaps are thin vs thicker? For some reason my hands know when I'm typing on thin stuff...and they don't like it.

the thinner ones probably vibrate more...

I think it's because my fingers can somehow sense the density and solidarity of what they are hitting. Kind of like tapping on a wall and know if it's thin or thick. Sounds and vibration probably has a lot to do with this, but the thin ones just don't seem to jive with me.
