To celebrate the 30th anniversary of KFC opening it's first restaurant in China they have partnered with Huawei to launch a commemorative smartphone. The model is limited to 5000 units, and is a bright red variant of the Huawei Y7 complete with a portrait of the Colonel etched into the back.

Looking through the specs there is no mention on if the screen has some magic grease resistant coating or not. The phone is available though the KFC app itself for ¥1,099, which is about $161. Perhaps you can use the front camera to get a food suggestion based on your face.

But the brand synergy doesn't just stop there: KFC's app will get an exclusive feature in China called K-music, which lets users listen to curated music when inside a KFC restaurant. The feature will be exclusive to Huawei devices until the end of the month.

That's some great cross promotion right there. If fast food companies did that in North America you bet consumers would eat that shit up.

I'll show myself out.
