got them from a guy on craigslist... they are working great

not even opened...

he gave me the purchase receipt too... coulnd have been a better deal... ran them through a could test on western digital's lifegaurd software

BTW they are the G2 sandforce drives!

so on a scale of 1-10 how good did I do?

Hmm. Why didn't he just return the drives if he did not want them? Purchased using a stolen card?

I don't know... never thought of that, he has had them purchased since the day MC started carrying them

come on you are making me worry...

nope looks like he paid cash, just looked at the receipt

My buddy just got 2 of these in raid 0 and they're failing after 1 day. Windows just halts and then on reboot the raid controller (older nVidia onboard raid) shows a failure, but then another reboot gets it to boot again.

I think the price is right for Sanforce in this size.

He possibly got frustrated with support from ADATA and had a hard time setting up a clean and aligned RAID 0 partition.

Real time consuming getting RAID 0 to work right with sand force the first time. (Was for me anyways.)

I thought about getting the MicroCenter ones or the ADATAs (same thing) but there is no firmware support for these.

I have a pair of these running in Linux Raid1 for my file server and they are decent cheap drives. Based on the 1222 controller from Sandforce.
