I've been looking at notebooks for quite a while, and thanks to the $800 off 1,999 coupon I managed to catch, I just put in an order for this Inspiron 6000:

Pentium M 730 (1.6GHz)
15.4" WSXGA+ screen
1GB RAM (2x512)
128MB Radeon X300 Graphics
XP Professional
80GB Hard drive
DVD-ROM Drive

Original price: $2,001.00
Final price with the $800 off coupon and tax: $1,294.38

I don't expect to have it for a couple of weeks, but that's OK, I'll probably be getting this as soon as I get back from vacation. I looked at the 9300, but I'll take portability over power, since I don't plan to be using it for a whole lot of gaming (that's what I've got my desltop for.) This is also going to be my first Intel-based system in quite a while (I think the last one I built was a P3-500 on a 440BX board, I've gone all AMD ever since.) Thoughts?

Looks pretty nice and a good price too, plus you can do a little gaming on that x300,

Depending on how battery life you want to get, I always prefer a 7200RPM drive.

I'm not all that concerned about speed, as I won't be doing much gaming on it (I'll probably use it for World of Warcraft, which doesn't need all that much processing power to run.) This is primarily going to be for general use, with some light development work (Visual Studio.NET) thrown in.
