just got a gt... and i'll be installing farcry for benches and stuff

just a question

is the 1.2patch available ? do i need to install SP2 and 9.0c beta versions to be able to get the sm3 advantages ?

Yes you need to install DirectX 9.0c in order to take advantage of SM3, whether that's through SP2 or ripped from doesn't matter.

The Far Cry 1.2 patch is not available yet and i doubt it will be available until Microsoft releases SP2.

SP2 has supposedly been pushed back to mid to late August so i wouldn't expect the 1.2 patch before that time frame.

ups pushed back my delivery date 1 day. I don't get my 6800 gt until tomorrow... 16 hours to go.
