It's not a blown pixel, it's a dead pixel, it was dead before you opened the box. Best buy will probably be willing to replace the laptop until you find one without a dead pixel, but I doubt they're obliged to.
It's a common problem on any laptop, three out of four laptops that I've owned have had one dead pixel, usually in the corners. It's not so bad if it's stuck blue, black or green, but red or white can get quite annoying. My current laptop which I've owned since thursday has a stuck red pixel and while watching videos it can really get on my nerves because it's near to the top right which is where I stick winamp and other monitoring tools so my vision constantly sticks on it when it's up against a black background
