Hi guys,

Ordered an GA-MA790XT-UD4P this morning along with a Phenom II 720 Black Edition, so I'm now looking around for some suitable RAM.

I have found this on offer for the same price as the 1333MHZ lines :

Kingston KHX1600C9D3K2 / 4G HyperX / 4GB 1600MHz PC3-12800 DDR3 / Non-ECC CL9 DIMM Dual Channel Computer Memory

However I'm not sure if the CPU / Motherboard will cope well with the extra voltage needed to run them at full speed (1.75 - 1.9v). Fast memory is not an issue, and i'd rather stability.

According to the datasheet, it defaults to the JDEC 1.5v standard@1333mhz anyway, is it safe to run it at this speed instead?

Thanks,
Dawson

Never mind... Decided to go for the Kingston Value 1333mhz RAM instead. It was a little cheaper, and I don't plan to overclock anyway.

Im in the same situation than you... same cpu same motherboard... just stuck at deciding the ram... how did it go with the kingston 1333 ?

My 790XT-UD4p works great with the G.Skill 1333 sticks. I'd be concerned about the bios default voltage if the sticks require 1.75.
