ITX Polaris & Pascal cards

Card is nice and short. But did you see the pci bracket end? The vents go right across where the pci slot divider is in a case. What are we supposed to do, delete the divider to get full ventilation? Weird

You know, I actually won't have such a divider in my case, because it serves no practical purpose. I hope that more cards will do this. While it won't help much, it might make cooling a little more efficient, and with small cases like ours, every little bit counts.

they should have included an HDMI - DVI adapter. Instead of putting a DVI port on the card.

Actually, the way they did it, I'm kind of okay with it. They put vents between the HDMI and DVI ports so the port isn't fully blocking the outgoing airflow and because it's the only DVI port on the card, you still get three full-sized DP ports and an HDMI. If we can't have any non-DVI GPUs from nVidia vendors, this is certainly the least annoying way of doing it.

I'd even go as far as to say that this is the kind of card I would buy right now because it requires the least amount of additional cables with my setup.

Good point, if someone put a 1 slot gpu in there, and put a blank bracket in the other, there would be no gap between them, and it should look fine. I might do that too on my case, as it eliminates some dimensions.

I have the EVGA 1060 and it is quiet as hell. Looking forward to build around this little shit.

I know its not exactly in the same league (or even sport) as the high-end cards, but the new AMD 460 looks like the reference PCB is ITX-length.

the RX460 is probably a weak piece of shit, around 750ti-950 performance, so dont get your hopes up

From the specs seems to be at the 7850 processing power just on a 128bit memory bus with some delta color compression. Should have plenty of juice for 1080p but no further than that. And for such a low power consumption I see no valid reason why the AIBs should not design a low profile version.

You don't really need to wait for AIB for the 460. It's already dual slot height and 6" length.

Its power isn't anything to write home about, but its price + not needing PEG connector will let any ol' desktop turn into a entry-level gaming machine.

Edit: My bad, I see you meant low-profile, not just ITX-sized.

Just had a crazy thought…

What if, once Nvidia starts shipping product with HBM/HBM2, might we see a Titan-class GPU in the mITX format…?!?

Now that would be really exciting…!!!

;^p

The cooler on such a card would probably still be twice the pcb board length... Water cooling might be nice and compact though.

Come on Gigabyte! Been over a month since you announced that 1070 itx, and still no cards out there?? Grrrrr

I dont see why anyone hasnt made a 480 that is no longer than the reference PCB...

The Stock cooler isnt exactly beefy, so it shouldnt be that hard to get an equal or better cooling solution at PCB length... I would think the Nano cooler would be plenty, with room to spare...

is there anyone else doing an ITX 1070?? Surprised that GB would be there only one...

I fully expect asus will have one out in the near future, since they've done it since the 670.

I would love to see an Asus mITX 1070, with the vapor chamber cooling system like on their mITX 970…!

The vapor chamber is probably the only cooling tech that will allow a mini itx 1070 to come to life.

Anyone pick up the mini 1070 or see reviews on the card? Most I found was a Reddit post with an imgur link of bench results faster than stock FE at a max temp of 70C :)!

Reddit: Imgur: New GTX 1070 mini

Close to pulling the trigger on one of these, so close...

Personally the outputs on that card really turn me off.
2x DVI 1x HDMI 1x DP
Who even uses 2x DVI at this point?
2x HDMI and 2x DP would make much more sense.
Or...just the reference outputs.

While I agree and it seems like a cheap low blow to consumers cause they could have done 2x HDMI and 2x DP, I personally do not need it as I have a single screen with no room/need for a second. Unfortunately I don't see anyone else making mini 1070s

Well I'm only going to use 1 or 2 monitors, so it will be ok for me. Doesn't mean I'm happy about it tho (grrr)

Man, had to dig down to page five for this thread…!

Got a whole slew of GTX 1050 / GTX 1050 Ti GPUs coming out…!

Good news for compact SFF bills; one less cable from the PSU to route, less overall heat to disperse…?

Eyeing that EVGA GTX 1050 Ti myself…

Just wishing a manufacturer could manage to make an ITX version of the GTX 1080…!!!
