It's time to switch... Intel to AMD

Alright so here it is. I am making the switch in my system from Intel to AMD. So here I go...

I've got an MSI z77a-G45 motherboard that I eventually plan on selling and getting an AMD board. Suggestions?

Currently, have a Intel® Core™ i7-3770K... plan on getting a Ryzen 1700.

650 Watt -- NZXT HALE82N-SI / 80+ Bronze for power. Currently want something better. Suggestions?

For video card, I need suggestions, currently have a Nvidia 960 GTX. 3GB

Much needed help here on build suggestions. AZZA Armour Gaming Case.

Would like 32 GB ram too. At a decent speed.
 
If you have no issues with overclocking,, pick a an R5 1600 or R7 1700 and an Asrock X370 Taichi. I recommend going to overclock.net to get advice on Ram but, ultimately, it is best to find something that is on the QVL list. I would recommend doing 2 x 16GB though of Samsung B die memory. Although I prefer AMD, at current prices, you are probably better off finding a GTX 1070 that is on sale for less than $400.

Depending on how old you power supply is, you might be able to just stick with what you already have.

I wouldn't mind keeping my current power supply at all. Thanks for the advice ManofGod. Appreciate it! Curious what others have to say as well.
 
I would wait on Threadripper and see what the lower wnd will cost which will be higher end than mainstream Ryzen7.

It should be dropping this month or next for purchase we hope. If not the R5 is a wonderful gaming CPU. If your not going to OC at all then save money and get the best b series board you can find. Make sure your ram is on the QVL made by the mobo manu. Ryzens play very nice with an AMD gpu but I also have had good results with my 980ti.

Whens it due to release?
 
1600X looks like the best price/performance gaming CPU. Turbo 4Ghz all day with proper cooling should give the best bang for the buck.
 
As I'm pretty sure I've asked elsewhere, what is your current system not doing that you're looking to improve on with a rebuild? You will see almost no improvement in most day to day tasks and gaming. Now is /not/ a good time for a new system.

Unless he wanted lots more cores for productivity. But yeah basically not a big day to day diff.
