Issues with Apache

Well, I'm running an apache server on my laptop, which is running debian 3.0 kernel 2.24, I can't seem to get to my subdirs from the rest of the world. I think I'm missing something in my httpd.conf file, but can't quite put a finger on it. If anyone has had this issue, or knows how to resolve it, it would be appreciated.

What error are you getting?

What permissions are assigned to those sub-directories?

hmm im not seeing a problem either in that, except perhaps: DocumentRoot /var/www suppose to have a closing / since its a directory and not a file? not sure on this though.

you cant view for example /var/www/dir1/ have you chmod 777 /var/www/dir1/ ?

the backslash. Make sure you use http:// in front of your domain as well.
