Is there anyway to use Logitech Z-5500's on a MBPr laptop?

I sold my desktop recently (waiting on a new build this winter) and purchased a 13" MBPr laptop. So now I have a Logitech Z-5500 speaker system just sitting in the corner so it got me wondering if there is a way to use the speakers on this laptop. Any (easy) way to do this?

Yep, and furthermore, the headphone jack should also be a mini optical output jack.

There is a headphone jack on the laptop but the speakers have three wires (green, orange, and black).

Use the green wire for stereo.

The MacBook Pro's audio jack also supports optical out. You can use an optical toslink cable to connect your MacBook Pro to your Z-5500.

Also, is there a way to configure the Z5500 so it only uses a 2.1 setup (two sats and the sub) only?

Not sure why sure you can't just use a standard 3.5mm stereo cable. I've got the same speakers and hook up devices through the headphone jack through the pod all of the time just fine.

You only get stereo sound that way.
