Is there a way to prevent the HTC Sense Companion and Alexa popups?

In this video review of the HTC 11 Donavon Hornbeck said the HTC Sense Companion and HTC Alexa apps keep popping up all the time despite his attempts to disable them. This is of concern to me because I was considering the purchase of the HTC U12+.

Are you experiencing these unwanted popups on your HTC phone? If you are, have you attempted to prevent them from happening and were you successful? If you were successful, could you please tell me what you did to correct the problem.

So far I haven't seen any popups from Sense, and my older HTC 10 doesn't have Alexa (not will I install it). I would think disabling the apps would be the only way to truly stop things like that.
