Aloha guys! :D

I have read that the RM750 has thermistor issues.

Is the RM650 (or RM550) afflicted by the same problems?
Are they a good buy or should I choose a better psu?

Thanks in advance. ;)

Here's what TechPowerUp had to say about it. Pretty similar to their review of the 750. For the price it seems like a pretty good buy.

I have not tested the RM650 to know if it suffers the same fate...but it is a different platform from a different manufacturer so one would hope not (Corsair insists it doesn't but they did not find the original issue either). The biggest problem with the RM series as a whole is it is a worse performing product than the TX series which Corsair was replacing it with until the bad RM reviews started rolling out (now TX's seem to be hanging around). Given that you can buy a TX unit for less than the RM unit, and only sacrifice a little efficiency for a better performing and better built product, the RM's are not really a good buy.

Yeah, the RM series seems to be garbage. :D

However I'm going to buy a Seasonic M12II-620 EVO.

Thanks everyone for the reply. ;)
