Is the Dell U2412M a LED monitor?

LED backlit.

I use them at work. For office use I rate a 7.2/10.

I do like the 16:10 resolution ratio.

No experience with them beyond office use.

Thanks.
I am looking for a 1920x1200 monitor (no 1080p) LED with an IPS panel. I don't want more than this resolution, I think it's better for games, and Internet brownsing. Any recommendations?

These type of threads should be ignored. How hard is it to google this model and see that every result will say it is "LED."

Yeah because going to the product page on dell.com is difficult. Not to mention it would be tedious to find that info in the monitors description. Oh wait it's actually in the first paragraph...

Enjoy widescreen performance, any way you want it. With a 24" 16:10 panel, IPS technology and LED backlight, the U2412M provides a brilliant view, plus amazing adjustability to suit any style.

/sarcasm ;)

What would be better at the same size, resolution and price range?

If you want to plug a 16:9 native source in (like PS3/360) then look at the HP ZR2440W. It's more expensive though.
