Is the 260 the exact same size as the 9800GTX?

I have a 9800 GTX in my case and it BARELY fits. I want to step up to a 260 but I am worried that any change in dimension will cause it to not fit in my case.

Are the size and dimension of these 2 cards identical?

Also is the performance of a 260 better than a 9800gtx @ 1920x1200?
 
192 SPs vs 128 SPs take a guess on top of the bandwidth and memory increase.
 
By extension: where does the 8800GTX fit into all this? That's already a tight fit for my current case...
 
The 8800 GTS 512 MB, 8800 GTX, 9800 GTX, 9800 GX2, GTX 260, and GTX 280 are all of the same physical dimensions.

I thought the GTS 512MB was the same size as the 8800GT, which is 9" IIRC? Shorter than the flagship cards.
