is "tablet edition" worth the extra $$$ on a tablet PC?

I was browsing Tablet PCs recently (looking to buy one now that the hype is over and they're more affordable) and I noticed some that came with XP Tablet edition (home/pro) and some that just came with XP home/pro.

Is it really worth the extra $$$ to get the "tablet edition" on a tablet PC or are you just as well off to go with regular XP and the normal touch-screen-input driver?
 
How much more do they want for tablet over xp pro?

Tablet PC is xp pro with the tablet pc fuctions added. If you are getting a tablet then get the os that works best with it.
