Is it safe to resume Windows updates again?

I haven't updated anything since 8/10 because of potential BSODs and all that jazz with recent updates. Has Microsoft cleared all the bad updates out yet? I thought I heard that even the replacement updates are screwing up systems, so I'm not sure.
 
Hmm. I have updated dozens of machines between then and now. From XP to 8.1 with no issues.
 
I haven't had any issues on about a dozen 8.1 PCs and a few thousand Win 7 PCs, I would get your update on...
 
As I recall, they cleared it out within a day or two. They were fairly quick to respond.

These were for machines that were not undated in a while so I guess I should have removed the XP part from that statement because the updates were most likely all from before April 8th. I mentioned that because I choose the Update and Shutdown on an XP box Yesterday and it had 68 updates to apply.
