Is it (really) worth of sacrifice?

I was building myself a PC with AMD 3500+ (possibly 3800+) single core processor and 2x 512MB DDR2 RAM. But then i've done some researching and built another config. with C2D E6400 processor, but I lacked of fundings (which are VERY limited) for another 512MB of DDR2 RAM. So i Don't know is D2C worth of sacrifing them, and buying them later (month or so)?

I'd say go with the c2d setup, but I would probably get 2 gigs of memory, seems to be the standard nowadays

Do you have a system that you can use till you save up some more cash? If so, then that's probably what I would do.

I've give you the best advice you need to hear. your answer lies in how many frame rates you can live playing with. a 3500 will do the job if you're not an extreme gamer. many here are or think they are

You config'd an E6400 system and can't afford another $50 stick of ram? Drop to the E6300 and borrow <$20 from a friend/mom/dad/sister/brother/cousin/stranger:

Then, do what everyone else does, and OC the hell out of that chip on stock cooling, lol. It can reach at least 2.6Ghz using the stock intel hsf.
