Is it possible to use a Bluetooth speaker as a main PC / Gaming speaker?

I was thinking of getting one of those Bluetooth speakers (such as the Bose Sound-link mini series) for use as a speaker for my PC. It would be convenient, as it would allow other devices to connect to it as well as the computer itself for a easy to use and centralized sound area.

My concern is that Bluetooth latency will just be too high. As in, take an action in game, hear the action a discernible time later from the speaker. Is this a realistic fear? My assumption is that it is, and the latency will be too high to be practical, however was holding out hope someone could tell me I was wrong.

Thanks!

Could look at the bluetooth Samson MediaOne line of studio monitors. You could do a wired connection to your PC for low latency, and connect other devices via it's bluetooth function, presumably. No experience with the product, myself.
