Is Crysis 3 any good? I was meh on the prior games but enjoyed the campaign. I need something different and for 12 bucks it seems legit

It's not a bad game, played trough it a couple of times, it suffers somewhat from consolitis but mostly more of the same but more aliens.
 
I found it too linear compared to 1 & 2, but the scenery was great.
 
Better level design and graphics than 2, but plot and characters were still utterly forgettable.
 
Decent if you want to have something on the side. $12? Sure.
 
I played through the whole series just a few months ago for the first time. Crysis 3 was def the best out of them as far as pacing and game play (and definitely performance/stability on Win 10) goes IMO, but overall it wasn't way too memorable of a shooter for me. Like Pringles for gaming; it's worth playing/eating even if there's not much substance there.
