Is a new iPhone really that close?

You know people will always start talking about the next version or a product 2 seconds after it is released but I want to really know what you guys think.

I really want to get an iPhone despite contract issues, but if another one comes out Q1 of next year that would kind of be a bummer....especially if it is simply an improved version.

Anyone really think there is one coming that soon.

Yes, there are many rumors of an iPhone 'Nano' a smaller but yet fully functional variation of the original iPhone..... at almost half the price. That's what I'm waiting to see.
