UPDATED 27" 1080p ips flicker free monitor with height adjustable stand ? I could not find. doesn't exist so much for pwm free

So only monitors I could find that were ips 1080p low ms and had height adjust

Asus VN279Q (amva+ panel) I could not find any benchmarks on input lag or response times but has lowest listed 5ms.

HP EliteDisplay E271i (ah-ips) I also could not find any benchmarks on input lag or response times

Dell P P2714H (pls or ah-ips) tft central says its pls, dell tech says ah-ips, showed good response times and input lag,

So which should I get, for gaming, rts, mmo, fps, etc

BenQ BL2710PT, 1440p, 4ms, 8-bit + frc, ahva (ips), height, svivel, tilt and rotate and flicker free. Only thing is the 20ms signal processing lag but it is not catastrophicly bad unless you are making a living of gaming.

Tftcentral review: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/benq_bl2710pt.htm

Remember that that is just 4MS GTG. The ISO value is 12ms, which is more in touch with reality (full black to white transition).
There are no IPS/PLS/VA that exist below 10ms response time, i think (which is also the reason they can't make them strobed at 120hz, the sharp panel eizo uses seems to be the only exception).

Quoted G2G Response Time
4ms G2G
Quoted ISO Response Time
12ms

1080p is better at 23" IMO.

PRAD measured a < 1ms signal delay from the BL2710PT with an oscilloscope, which makes it awesome for gaming in that perspective.

I have a 27" 1080p and think it looks great. I went to microcenter and looked at 1440p displays and wasn't that impressed to be honest

Sure let me get on that...just wait a moment while I dust off my trusty engineering degree ;) /snarky

Serious though, would be great to have that 'one size fit's all' monitor hehe. Best of both worlds as it were. The technology is really starting to get there and with the advent of the G-sync tech coming soon, I wouldn't be surprised to see a monitor come to market that hits all those check boxes ya know?

I think you might be best off with the Dell.

The P2414 has been getting some positive feedback.

ya but supposedly, by tft centeral the 27 inch is usig a pls monitor, unlike the 24 that is ahips, which is too bad because the ahips is pwm free

Hmmm.

The input lag on both those Dells is in the -1ms range. Which makes them super snappy.

Suppose it boils down to:

Are you sensitive to PWM?
Does your store have a good returns policy?

this is gona be my first ips monitor, I am coming from a viewsonic 19" flat panel 1200 x 1000 display that's tn with like 5 or 8ms
