"How do I save my iPod library"? Because there was shit deleted off my itunes library and I'd like to upload my ipod's back on there?

iPod designed specifically not to do that. You will need a 3rd party application to accomplish that.

using a mac with OSX? (or perhaps XPlay on Windows?)

You can navigate to the Ipod_Control/Songs folder (you need to use the Terminal on OSX for this...)

All your songs are stored in the subfolders there... you can just drag & drop the folders back to your computer's HD, and then re-add them into iTunes (and let iTunes organize it, so you have something better then F01, F98 etc for folder names.)


XPlay has a trial, so you could install it just to do this.
