I reformatted my mac iPod to use on my Windows box, mostly because it has a much larger hard drive and can rip cd's a lot faster than my iBook. I notice it also works on my iBook, and I can also use iSync for my contacts and calanders ( I really like iSync). Is it harmful to the iPod for me to be connecting it to both operating systems?

oh, oh, easy answer....

Nope!
Works just fine, and the iPod doesn't mind at all :)

Check my sig, my pc is the primary machine, but the iBook is used with the iPod every so often. It's a great external firewire drive!

According to Apple your iBook only has 32MB video, 64MB is reserved for the Radeon 9600 on the 15" and 17" PowerBooks.

sorry a little off topic

Heh, oops, a sig typo... Guess I gotta fix it.
Damn you people and your perfectionism :p

Edit: Sig is fixed, woot!

I've actually done the same thing- but my reason was because Mac iTunes was screwed up somehow and not updating songs without crashing...

Can song updates be done on both platforms, or just the syncing of the address & contact stuff...?

I do it.

except the opposite way, my iPod is mac formatted and I use it on a windows box.
