The 6S fingerprint reader was always super clunky to me. The Pixel's implementation was far more smooth.
FaceID is giving me a good impression though. It's helped by how smooth the things relying on it are. For example, the autofill in iOS is better than Android's clunkier implementation. I like being able to tap "Password" on the keyboard area while looking at the screen and it unlocks Bitwarden where I tap the right credential and it's filled in. Android isn't much harder but it uses a popup at the text field that can sometimes not show up or show off screen.
