IP Cam NVR - NAS or my current media server?

I am in the process of installing IP cameras for surveillance at my house. I've been having a hard time deciding what would be best; should I run the NVR portion off of a dedicated NAS or do I just have my media server handle it?

Currently, my server is used solely for Plex streaming, internal only. The server is comprised of:

i3-6100
16GB Ram
Gigabyte B150M-D3H

With that said, would I be better off buying an Intel multi-port NIC PCI-E card and either segregate by VLAN or just bond them? Then just use Blue Iris on the server and having it record to either dedicated internal HDD for the video or have it record to a NAS? I figured the added NICs would help throughput and not interfere with the Plex side of the server.

Or should I look into a NAS to act as my NVR and storage? I plan to have ~5-6 cameras.

Thanks!
