Inventory software ( software, hardware )

I'm researching possible inventory options for my network. Auto software inventory is the requirement, but good hardware inventory is a huge plus.

I've used spiceworks, but I've had issues with it finding the same system multiple times ( and thus, adding to the number of "installed locations" ) that have never been adequately resolved. I'd love to hear personal experiences with different software packages.
 
Still learning 'n dorking around with Lansweeper
So far impressive...esp for a free product.

Altiris, 1700 nodes over 8 offices across the US. Not cheap, can be cludgy at first, but I haven't found a damn thing it can't do yet in the last 5 years of using it. Pretty much information overload, but if you want to know about something on a system I can tell you anything. We use it for asset, imaging, inventory, application deployment, hell I can even flash a BIOS with the dell component of it. I don't know if I was talking it up or putting it down lol.
