Internet Works in Safe Mode, but not in normal windows XP home edition

Need more cowbell.

Does it get an IP? On a network? Any errors? What else is it doing?

That's kind of like telling a mechanic "my car rattles".
 
yes, in windows, nor mal mode, it connects to the router and everything, but it cannot get the internet through.... no errors..
 
nslookup, can you resolve any names?

ping, can you ping yourself?

ping, can you ping your router?

ping, can you ping your ISP's gateway?


Just a few simple things to try...
 
Thanks anyways, I took the easy way out... reformatted :rolleyes: works great now.
 
Ouch....a little adware scanning and taking 3 seconds to run the Winsock repair utility usually clears that in most cases.
