I am trying to fix a computer's network connection. We do not have a DHCP server at our office, so I assign IP's and the DNS manually...

Anway, I put in an unused IP address and the proper DNS IP address. The machine can ping any of the networked printers around here, but it can't print to them.

Also, it can see network shared folders and access them, but Web Browser's do not work.

This machine was working fine yesterday, but someone at the other office did "something" to it...

What would be the best corse of action to take.

Thanks in Advance

Stats: WinXP Pro SP1
2 PCI 10/100 NICs (netgear and 3com)
1 Integrated 1000 NIc (intel)

I already tried disabling two and then trying one individually. I did this for all three cards and all three have the same behavior.

Nevermind... I figured it out. I knew it had to be a software related issue and it was...
It turned out there was a McAfee firewall installed on the machine, even though I couldn't see it anywhere except for in add/remove programs... There was no icon in the system tray...

I removed that BIATCH and was good to go.

Thanks...
