Is the only chipset that supports vPro the Intel I217LM? If not, could anyone tell me what others support it as well?

Just an observation ... when I see Intel AMT KVM mentioned along with an Intel based NIC, it usually ends in "LM".
82577LM, 82579LM, i217LM, i218LM, etc.

Failed geometry so I have no proof ;)

No, it doesn't work that way. You need an Intel Q-chipset and support in BIOS.

I am not sure which post you are replying to.
In case it was my post ... I was just trying to help with the question asked
(not "How does it work")..but what NICs).

Granted ..these "LM" (Lights out Management ???? I dunno)
are usually integrated into a motherboard with a chipset and bios that supports their
ability (just supply CPU with support as needed).

Apparently ... a "Q" chipset isn't the only player any longer ...
X10SAT Intel C226 Chipset with i217LM

Forcing me to do proofs is an offense punishable by banning :p

@OP

List of Intel® Gigabit Ethernet Network Connection

When you click on one of the listed NICs .. look for "support under vPro" = yes.
I think that helps to answer your question.
