Intel announced the Hades Canyon NUCs back in January, and now they are giving us a peek under the hood at the motherboard and goodies. The Hades Canyon is being called "The World's Smallest VR Gaming Rig" by intel, and features an 8th generation i7 processor in either locked or unlocked flavors, coupled with Radeon Vega M graphics.
Looks fantastic, and the way component prices have been, depending on the cost of the Hades Canyon NUCs, they could be a viable option. I'm impressed seeing the amount IO that little thing has on it! Earlier this month we posted about leaked benchmarks of the Hades Canyon, but who knows if those are final numbers.
Intel NUCs are tiny but powerful mini-PCs. Their popularity has rapidly increased since Intel introduced them in 2012. People use the Intel NUC - an acronym for Next Unit of Computing, and pronounced like the first syllable in “knuckle” - in millions of systems worldwide from home entertainment to gaming to digital security to airport signs.
