Intel Denies Apple Phone Chip

Yesterday, Reuters claimed that Intel would be providing the chips for Apples new iPod Phone. According to Apple Insider, Intel has denied the rumors.

Intel Corp. on Wednesday denied a a claim that it would be the supplier of the primary chip inside Apple's just-announced iPhone, but confirmed that it is supplying chips for the Apple TV set-top media box.

Why do you keep calling it the iPod Phone? It's the iPhone.

I think because Apple does not legally own the rights to use iPhone. At the moment, Cisco owns that name.
