...In Robotics. Boring, imho.

"Intel's new Chairman, Dr. Ishrak has left a blazing trail of mergers and acquisitions at Medtronic. In the eight years between 2012 and 2020, Medtronic spent more than $50 billion acquiring other companies and raked in at least $6 billion by selling its in-house businesses. The company's biggest deal was its $50 billion merger with Covidien, with both headquartered in Ireland. Medtronic's products cover fourteen different medicinal fields, including areas such as spine robotics and nucleus removal."

So you're telling me he was brought in to buy or merge with another company?

Who would intel acquire or merge with to dig them out of this hole? TSMC? HP?

" Intel Corporation Appoints New Chairman With Experience "

so did Intel Corporation finally get some experience to appoint or did the last Chairman have no experience? :cautious:

It's called buying outside talent and IP
Acquisitions are very common amongst companies the size of Intel. I'm not sure that alone is a sign that they can't innovate.
Judging by what Intel has done lately, I'm not so sure about that. At least in the desktop/server space. They just seem to be all about AI now. At least that's what I got out of CES.
